Our Mission
At Spring Lake Nature Center, we will teach people to care for the land and natural resources around them. Through hands-on learning in conservation, wildlife, and environmental science, we will help the next generation become responsible hunters, skilled workers, and caring stewards of North Dakota’s natural heritage. By exploring our local ecosystems, geology, and resources, we will show how protecting nature today will keep it healthy for the future.

Visitors will step into a world where nature will come alive. Every visit will be an adventure as guests explore scenic trails, spot wildlife, and uncover the wonders of birds, plants, and geology. Through hands-on experiences, everyone will see, touch, and learn about the natural world in fun and memorable ways.
Learning at Spring Lake will be fully hands-on. Guests will try wildlife tracking, conduct soil experiments, and take part in conservation projects. Kids, families, and adults will discover how ecosystems will function, how animals will thrive, and how humans will help protect the environment.
